What it does
This small safety switch controls the defrost heater. It lets the heater run until the frost has melted, then cuts it off so the freezer does not warm up.
Signs it needs replacing
- Ice keeps building up on the evaporator
- Fridge section warm while the freezer is fine
- A previous defrost heater replacement did not fix the frost
