What it does
The door seal (gasket) is the magnetic rubber strip around the door. It keeps cold air in. A torn or loose seal wastes power and lets frost build up.

- Gaps, tears or hard, flattened spots in the rubber
- Door does not close firmly or pops open
- Frost or sweat near the door edges
