What it does
The evaporator fan blows cold air from the freezer coils around the freezer and down into the fridge. Without it, the coils stay cold but the food does not.
Signs it needs replacing
- Freezer cold but fridge warm
- Buzzing, clicking or squealing from inside the freezer
- Fan does not spin when the door switch is pressed
